Accuracy of fine-needle aspiration biopsy in Albanian experience

Background: Fine-needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB) is the gold standard in detecting thyroid cancer. The overall incidence of thyroid cancer is 9–13% in patients with thyroid nodule that are eligible for FNAB.
